When it comes time to think about selling a home, many homeowners aren’t sure of when the best time to list the home is. Across the country, spring is generally the best time for someone to list their home. Of course, it varies from state to state. In the New York City metropolitan area, which can include New Jersey, the best time to list a home is on a Saturday between April 16th and 30th. According to Zillow, homes are sold 14 days faster than they are on average. In cities like Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, and Boston, homes should be listed between May 1st and 15th.
